Ecology Casuarina Quilted Throw

Designer Sarah Strickland’s interpretation of the elongated leaves of native she-oaks was achieved by painting in loose watercolour in a palette of earthy clay, cooling blues and refreshing greens. From afar the horizontal stripes present as a full cover of coastal beach tones while up close the intricate detail of the stippled watercolour technique can be seen. The reverse side of this lightweight, quilted throw boasts a serene duck egg blue, and this, paired with the super soft cotton voile and poly-fill wadding, makes it the perfect summer layer that can transition from bed to couch with ease.
